Keren Eisenberg, MAPT
Keren graduated with a Certifcate in Physical Therapy in 1976, and an M.A. in Applied Physiology in 1984, both degrees from Columbia University. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, orthopedist’s office, home care and private practice. Keren has more than 30 years experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. She has been at Lower Manhattan Physical Therapy since 1986. Keren stays active with biking, dance and pilates classes. She is interested in Afro Caribbean dance, Dunham technique, and is currently taking Samba classes. Keren lives in Manhattan with her husband who is a psychologist and psychoanalyst.
Bethany Hopta, MSPT
Bethany earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University and brings over 18 years of experience to the practice. Her outpatient orthopedic experience is complemented by neurological experience in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings enabling her to provide a unique perspective for healing. She has completed course work in yoga and pilates mat classes and is experienced with rehabilitating dancers and runners. Bethany enjoys being active, especially with yoga and salsa dancing. She is an avid reader and loves cultural experiences including ballet and modern dance performances, opera and classical music concerts, and museum exhibits.
Kristine Pierret, Office Administration
Kristine graduated from Louis D Brandies high school, and has recieved a certificate in medical billing from Anthem Institute for Medical Billing. Kristine handles all front desk responsabilities, from scheduling patients to verifying insurances for the patients. She also works closely with the therapists maintaining their schedules and making sure the patients perscriptions are up to date. Kristine enjoys spending time with her family and cooking and playing games with them is a big part for her. Kristine also loves watching all sports. Kristine lives a very healthy lifestyle with eating clean and exercising daily.
Yuderka “Judy” Espinal-Nunez, Office Administration
Judy is a graduate from Mandl College of Allied health, and works on the front lines of Lower Manhattan PT. As a Mother of 3, Judy works diligently to not only provide for her family, but to provide each patient with a cheerful experience from beginning to end of treatment. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, dancing, and playing with her kids. She also enjoys traveling. Judy is passionate about remaining family oriented, and loves helping people.
Keisha Byard, Billing Department & Human Resources Manager
Having worked in the healthcare industry for 20+ years and working for a Physical Therapy Office that is owned and operated by a Physical Therapists for 11 of those 20 years, Keisha knows the value of focusing on patient improvement. In her department she helps take care of distractions like billing, insurance appeals, accounts receivable, insurance contracting, medical records and human resources. With Keisha’s grasp on the behind the scenes elements, our experienced clinicians can stay focused on what’s really important—providing great patient care!

Scott Gooch, Billing Specialist
Having been part of the healthcare industry since 2003, Scott has made his way through the administrative levels and found his niche in medical billing. As a certified CPC since 2008 and New Member Development Officer, Vice President, and President over the local AAPC chapter, his humorous and outgoing personality helps take the edge off of stressful tasks such as communication with insurance vendors. When he is not vouching for a smooth claim submission and reimbursement process from health insurance carriers, he maintains an active lifestyle participating in various sports, following favorite college football teams, kicking back with friends, and spending time with his boxer dog Da’Kota.
